28 May, day 5
Day five and the puppies are pretty strong and gaining weight rapidly. Seven puppies were born but sadly one died two days ago. We found it dead in the morning and it was very sad. It was however very weak to start with and lost 10 g when the others gained 40 g on average. We tried to give it supplement and it seemed as if it was eating but it wasn´t enough. It´s buried and we hope it will rest in peace.
I have a video of sleeping puppies today. Flexi is taking well deserved breaks now and then and this video was shot during one of them.

Dag två
Andra dagen i valparnas liv. De äter och sover. Jag har en liten video av det.
Second day. The puppies are eating and sleeping as they should. I´m posting a small video where you can see them feeding off Flexi.

Hello.
It´s been a while but now we are back. We have been contemplating taking a litter off Zamora for some time. This year she seemed to be in season just in time for delivery in the beginning of summer so we thought we should give it a go. We found a very nice dog named Nelson in a village close to us. Zamora and Nelson met a few times but unfortunately the chemistry wasn´t there.
Nelson also met Flexi and they seemed to get along great. Apparently Flexi was in season as well.
It wasn´t the plan but we decided to give it a go with Flexi instead of Zamora..
So last night just before midnight the whelping began.
One of the puppies is eating lying on its back. Laid back!
The whelping was finished 9.00 a.m, this morning so in all nine hours. The result was seven puppies just like the first time. It was spot on the predicted date. Two white ones and the rest brown/black/white.

Back in Sweden
Hello everybody.
It's been two months since my last post which is not ideal in the blog world. I have been pretty busy with the house move and sorting out my career break.
We are beginning to get settled in Sweden now. Ulrika loves her job and the children are happy in school with many new friends.
Here are some pictures of the dogs from today. We keep them in the garden during the day and when we are all at home they run around all over the farm.

It was a bit nippy this morning but now it's a lovely sunny autumn day.

Zamora likes chewing on things like cables, remote controls and shoes.

We have not been to any formal training with Zamora since
she has Flexi showing her the ropes which works well.
Flexi is barking quite a lot though. Obviously Zamora takes after her
which is something we need to work on.
So that's a quick update from us. Hope you and your dogs are all well.
Cheers, Per

Zamora and Flexi in Sweden
Hello everybody.
Not a lot going on blogwise lately. The dogs are in Sweden together with the rest of the family. I am in Lymington sorting out the last bits and pieces. I am working until the end of September.
This is Hillevi with Zamora in my parents garden.
Flexi and Zamora have a favourite position nicely elevated outside our house where they can watch who comes and goes to the mill.

Zamora chewing a stick.
I may continue to post the occasional message here or maybe move the blog since this editing tool is rather frustrating to work with.
Cheers, Per

Zamora safely in Copenhagen
Good morning
Zamora is now safely in Copenhagen. Hillevi is taking care of her together with grandmother when Ulrika is working.

Here she is brought out from the terminal in her wooden crate.

It was a very happy reunion. You have to tilt your head here I'm afraid. Blogspot doesn't allow picture rotation. Yes I know we put a man on the moon more than forty years ago. What to do?
Right. Got to go to work. Again!
Cheers, Per
